“Pathway” by Scott Sparks

What else do you expect?
When what you expect cannot be erected
No matter how your controlled vocals are emphatically inflected
They won’t straighten upcoming twists in the pathway
That’s just life adding its own spice but some call it fate
The plan isn’t modified even if you don’t think you qualify
The plan hasn’t the will to refashion even if you keep askin’
Our exceeding limitations administer faith for those of that temperament
So just wait because it just may be worth it in the end
My hopes and expectations alter by the day
It rains, even when sunshine is forecasted for my pathway
Whether I’m seemingly submerged or merely wetter than I’d prefer
Twists in the pathway are ever-injected
You’ve by no means gone too far or past the point of no return
If the bridges you’ve burned rest on the back burner
It’s time to turn a new leaf over or at least clear off the side showing
Whatever your script, follow through, stick to the project
The plan isn’t modified though you don’t qualify
What else do you expect?
